Alexander Feht was born in Siberia, Russia and received his education near the city of Novosibirsk. He emigrated with his wife and son to the United States, where he currently composes music among the scenic vistas of Colorado's Rocky Mountains.

The astute observer of contemporary classical music cannot help but note that, the more modern composers give their all to "atonal" or "experimental" schools of composition, the more listeners are driven to archival recordings of great works. There is today a hunger for music that, as in times past, satisfies the soul with melody, tonality, and harmony. Trained in the appreciation of the classics, Mr. Feht's work offers a pleasing alternative to most modern composition.
